About the Journal

Československá psychologie (CESK PSYCHOL; Czechoslovak Psychology) is a journal that was established in 1957.
It has over six decades of scientific tradition and welcomes contributions from psychological research and theory as well as reports on practical findings.

As of 2024, the journal’s impact factor was 0.4.

Československá psychologie is a peer-reviewed, Diamond open-access journal (under the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence) published six times a year. The journal publishes only original papers, i.e., papers that have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Submitted texts that receive positive reviews are accepted by the editor-in-chief and published in the relevant section of the journal (e.g., empirical reports, brief reports,  notes from practice, historical notes, as well as essays, discussions, and reviews).

Československá psychologie is included in the DOAJ, and indexed in the Web of Science, SCOPUS, and PsycINFO. The full text of articles has been available since 2006 via ProQuest Central and since 2009 also via Academic Search Ultimate (EBSCO). The full text of articles published since 1957 can be found in the Digital Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Starting from issue 1/2021, all texts accepted for publication are assigned a DOI.
